Blue Badge & Concessionary Travel

We are the UK’s leading experts in eligibility assessments of applicants for Blue Badges, Concessionary Bus Passes, Taxicards, Parking Bays and Organisational Badges.

We offer tailor-made solutions to local authorities and partner organisations, depending on their preferred service delivery model, from fully-managed end-to-end services, through to the provision of properly-trained and experienced Expert Assessors for one-off assessments.

We have delivered these services to different local authorities since 2003 and have in that time devised market-leading approaches to the assessment and administration of applications, providing a fair, robust and transparent service. We have now provided services to more than 50 local authorities and have supported many more through the Mobility Forum and our training courses.

Our service has been featured by RCOT in OT News in response to the change in Blue Badge criteria in 2019, see the article in OT News September 2019 page 32-33.

Case studies

Don’t just take our word for it.

To show how our market-leading approach translates into real-world results, take a look at the case studies below. Each one highlights the positive impact our services have had in practice.

Training

As well as our independent assessment services, we offer training courses to local authorities to help upskill their internal teams and improve their Concessionary Travel and Blue Badge services.

These courses are delivered remotely and can be tailored to look at the assessment process for applicants with walking difficulties, non-visible “hidden” disabilities, or both.

Since 2019, we have delivered training to over 40 local authorities in England and Scotland as well as to many more individuals.

Engaging with residents online

As part of our commissioned services, we can help your local authority engage with residents by facilitating online discussions, especially beneficial for parents of children who may apply for a Blue Badge under the hidden disabilities criteria.

This online service is free of charge. We explain the criteria clearly, who may qualify, and which evidence supports applications.
